CINCINNATI, Ohio -- No overtime this time. The Cincinnati Bengals brushed aside their intrastate rival and strengthened their hold on the AFC North with one record-setting quarter. Essentially, it was over by halftime. And now the Bengals have a chance to make quick work of the rest of the division, too. Andy Dalton threw two touchdown passes and Cincinnati returned a blocked punt and a fumble for touchdowns during a 31-point second quarter on Sunday that set a Bengals record and swept them to a 41-20 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals (7-4) fell behind 13-0 in the first quarter before putting it away with 15 minutes of domination all around. "That was crazy," defensive tackle Domata Peko said. "I havent seen anything like that -- so many points in a couple of minutes and the momentum changing so fast." Cincinnati heads into its bye week with its division lead intact and two rough weeks washed away. The Bengals had lost their last two games in overtime, tying the NFL record and allowing the Browns (4-6) to draw close. "Cleveland has done a lot of really good things, put themselves in position in the division that this was a really big game for both teams," Dalton said. The Browns had pegged it as a chance to show theyre a contender. Instead, they got their comeuppance -- the most lopsided game in the intrastate series since Cincinnatis 30-0 win in Cleveland in 2006. "Im disappointed we lost and in the way we lost, but weve got Pittsburgh coming in and the next two are at home," linebacker DQwell Jackson said. "That gives us a chance to get back on track. Im glad this ones over." Dalton had a horrid start that helped Cleveland get a promising early lead. He threw two passes that were picked off by Joe Haden, who ran one of them back 29 yards for a touchdown and a 13-0 lead in the first quarter. When the quarter ended, Cleveland fell apart. Dalton threw touchdown passes of 25 yards to Jermaine Gresham and 6 yards to Mohamed Sanu, emerging from his recent funk. He has thrown eight interceptions in his last three games, a major factor in the two overtime losses. The Bengals were just getting started on the highest-scoring quarter in their history. Undrafted rookie Jayson DiManche blocked Spencer Lannings punt and safety Tony Dye -- promoted from the practice squad one day earlier -- returned it 24 yards for a touchdown. Cleveland hadnt had a punt blocked in 20 years. "It was surreal," Dye said. "You never expect that to happen in a game, let alone your first game." More surreal to come. One minute and 50 seconds later, linebacker Vontaze Burfict forced Chris Ogbonnaya to fumble after a catch and ran the ball back 13 yards for another touchdown. Mike Nugents 41-yard field goal capped off the quarter and made it 31-13. It was one of those comebacks that the Bengals will look back on as a potential turning point. "I hope I am looking back from somewhere in New York City," coach Marvin Lewis said, referring to the site of the next Super Bowl. "I think that is the thing that our guys have in their mind, to win every game that we can. "This is an urgent month for us coming up. First, we had to take care of November. We have bigger fish to fry." The 31 points matched the second-most allowed by the Browns in one quarter. They hadnt done it since they gave up 31 in the second quarter at Houston on Dec. 9, 1990. The club record is 35 points allowed in the first quarter of a 35-7 loss at Green Bay in 1967. Dalton threw another touchdown pass in the fourth quarter, giving him three overall. He was 13 of 27 for only 93 yards. Jason Campbell threw a 74-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to Josh Gordon, but had an otherwise disappointing showing. Campbell hadnt thrown an interception in 90 attempts this season, but was picked off three times. He set a career high with 56 pass attempts and completed 27 for 248 yards. Haden had his first two-interception game while shutting down A.J. Green. Haden held the 2012 All-Pro receiver to two catches for 7 yards, ending his club-record streak of five straight games with at least 100 yards. Notes: Campbells 56 attempts were the third-most in franchise history behind Colt McCoy (61) and Brian Sipe (57). ... Ogbonnaya had a 43-yard run, his longest of the season. ... LB James Harrison had his first interception for the Bengals and his first since 2010 with Pittsburgh. It was his seventh career interception. ... DB Chris Crocker and RG Kevin Zeitler were inactive because of injuries. ... The Bengals have blocked three kicks this season, the first time theyve done that since 1991. Fabian Delph Jersey .This one was bigger than most.Ben Roethlisberger and LeVeon Bell came up big in a game that Pittsburgh had to win Sunday, leading the Steelers to a 42-21 drubbing of the Cincinnati Bengals that left the AFC North race wide open.Robert Griffin III spun away from a defender, eluded a sack, rolled out and tossed a 24-yard pass to keep a drive going.Yes, RG3 is back.Griffin threw for 251 yards, one touchdown and one interception, and ran for 24 yards in his first game since dislocating his left ankle in Week 2. The Washington Redskins (3-6) lost at Minnesota 29-26 on Sunday, snapping a two-game winning streak led by third-string quarterback Colt McCoy.But now they have their dynamic playmaker under centre and the rest of the season will help determine whether Griffin has a future with the team.Let me play football, man. Let me play football, Griffin said. Thats our job to go out there and have fun and be the players we can be.Griffin was The Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012 when he helped the Redskins overcome a 3-6 start to win seven straight games and the NFC East title. But he tore his ACL in a playoff loss to Seattle and has had three major leg injuries over six college and NFL seasons.Griffin is under contract through 2015, and the Redskins next spring will have to decide whether to exercise a team option for 2016. He has to prove he fits into coach Jay Grudens offence and can be a productive pocket passer and all-around player.Other players you should hear from in the second half:LeSean McCoy: After leading the NFL with a franchise-record 1,607 yards rushing in 2013, McCoy ran for only 192 yards and averaged just 2.7 yards per carry in the first month for Philadelphia.Critics said he lost a step. Some wondered why veteran Darren Sproles, who was running effectively, didnt get more carries. But McCoy responded with 430 yards in the next four games, including 117 in Sundays win at Houston. With Mark Sanchez taking over for injured quarterback Nick Foles, expect the Eagles to ride McCoy down the stretch.Every time I get 100 yards its a big deal, McCoy said. Im used to just doing it.___A.J. Green: The three-time Pro Bowl receiver caught a touchdown pass in Cincinnatis win on Sunday after missing three games with an injured big right toe.Green has only played in four games for the Bengals (5-2-1). He has 20 catches for 358 yards and three TDs. Getting Green healthy and more involved in the offence should help Andy Dalton get going. Dalton only has eight TD passes.Expect Green to team with Mohamed Sanu to bolster Cincinnatis passing attack for a playoff push. They wanted to work me in slowly, Green said after playing half the offensive snaps aagainst the Jaguars.dddddddddddd Ill be ready.___Calvin Johnson: The three-time All-Pro wide receiver has only 22 catches and hasnt played since Oct. 5 because of an ankle injury.Johnson started with a typical monster performance in Week 1, catching seven passes for 164 yards and two TDs in Detroits rout over the Giants. But he caught 15 passes for 184 yards and no TDs over the next four games. The Lions (6-2) have won three straight games without Johnson. Look for Megatron to return to form in the second half.___Jadeveon Clowney: The No. 1 overall pick has only played two games after sitting out the first six following arthroscopic knee surgery and missing the last one because of an unspecified illness.Clowney hasnt been on the field much since Houston drafted him in May. The outside linebacker had sports hernia surgery in the off-season and suffered a concussion during training camp before injuring his knee in the season opener.Clowney should give the Texans (4-5) a boost, providing another fierce pass rusher to complement two-time All-Pro J.J. Watt.___Mark Ingram: The former first-round pick has emerged as the go-to back in New Orleans. He became the first Saints running back to have back-to-back 100-yard rushing games since Deuce McAllister in 2006. Ingram is averaging 4.9 yards per carry and has a team-high six touchdowns. Figure to see Drew Brees giving Ingram the ball more as the Saints (4-4) try to stay atop the NFC South.___Some players dont have a promising outlook after being busts in the first half. They are:Geno Smith: The second-year quarterback committed 12 turnovers (10 interceptions, two fumbles) before the New York Jets (1-8) turned to Michael Vick. Smith capped his dismal performance by throwing interceptions on three straight possessions in a loss to Buffalo on Oct. 25. Hes nursing a shoulder injury and will be carrying a clipboard when he returns.___Doug Martin: Since running for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie in 2012, Martin has 622 yards rushing and two TDs in two seasons with Tampa Bay. Hes missed 13 games because of injuries and is trending downward.___Zac Stacy: After a promising rookie year, Stacy has fallen to third behind Tre Mason and Benny Cunningham on St. Louis depth chart. He has 257 yards rushing and didnt get a carry in Sundays win over the 49ers.___AP NFL websites: http://www.pro32.ap.org and http://www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Rob Maaddi on Twitter: https://twitter.com/AP_RobMaaddi Wholesale MLB Orioles Jerseys Red Sox Jerseys From China Discount Yankees Jerseys Online Rays Jerseys For Sale Blue Jays Jerseys From China Wholesale MLB White Sox Jerseys Indians Jerseys For Sale Tigers Jerseys From China Wholesale MLB Astros Jerseys Cheap Baseball Angels Jerseys Athletics Jerseys From China Mariners Jerseys For Sale Cheap Baseball Rangers Jerseys Braves Jerseys For Sale Discount Marlins Jerseys Online Discount Mets Jerseys Online Phillies Jerseys From China Wholesale MLB Nationals Jerseys Cubs Jerseys From China Discount Reds Jerseys Online Brewers Jerseys From China Wholesale MLB Pirates Jerseys Wholesale MLB Cardinals Jerseys Diamondbacks Jerseys For Sale Rockies Jerseys For Sale Discount Dodgers Jerseys Online Discount Padres Jerseys Online Giants Jerseys For Sale ' ' '
